Appearing on BBC Radio 1’s “The Matt Edmondson Show,” Arnett put his Batman voice to use beyond the animated film world. Edmondson prompted the actor to make a prank call to a local toy store and speak to employees using his character’s voice.
This Batcave is really cool. It may not have as many pieces as the old one, but it’s still a nice size and a really good value for the price. I love the holding cell for the bad guys. The “change Bruce Wayne into Batman” play feature doesn’t always work quite as flawlessly as it should (sometimes he gets stuck), but it’s still a nice idea. The control panels at the computer are nice and detailed and I love how the door opens to let the Batmobile roll through (if you have the Batmobile set, too). The little details are nice, too, including the red phone (from the 60’s TV series).
7642 Garage 2009 4 minifigures 953 elements Includes garage area with working hoists, a customer service area and enclosed area to park vehicles. Vehicles include a large tow truck, a semitrailer truck cab and a car.
The details in this set are incredible! A great action set without violence and weapons. My four year old built the set with very little help and has re-built it three more times. The truck rolls well and tows the trailer. The boat really floats (he tried it in the bathroom sink). It’s fantastic.
All of those complaints are minor, however, and only downgrade the set from “perfect” to “still really great”. I would still highly recommend this set for any camping, outdoors, or large vehicle fans of LEGO.
In recent years, System sets have begun to adopt previously TECHNIC-exclusive parts, particularly in Exclusives and Star Wars sets. Many modern sets, including TECHNIC sets themselves, blur the distinction between the two systems to a considerable degree.

Following the included instructions and using pieces in the starter kit, kids can build a house, helicopter, dog, and car. The only flaw is that the instructions may be challenging for younger children, and require adult assistance.
The creator series Big Ben is an unimaginably accurate model that will take multiple days to complete. The set has been designed and scaled to pair with Lego’s Tower Bridge, so you may continue the fun after you have completed the build.
The 2nd image (inspired by Louis Sullivan’s Carson Pirie Scott building in Chicago) is one I built because I was intrigued with the curved and straight railing type fence pieces, and how closely they resemble windows, when used correctly. I also used some of those 4×4 corner bricks (in white)… although now we have the wide macaroni bricks to show the same curve. And yes…. I used the unused background parts of LEGO stickers… cut them into little rectangles… and stuck them onto the building to hide all those “missing notches” that macaroni and other curved bricks have. I like the sculptural effect that this curved building has, and the hiding of the notches improves the appearance.
The façade of the building features pink-and-teal 20th Century Art Deco-phase of styling with a large pink ‘DINER’ sign. Though Streamline Moderne style architecture first emerged in the 1930s this modular has a more 1950s-style color treatment than the general era of previous Modulars (~1930s). Other external features include arched linteled windows, balconies and a wrought iron-style exterior staircase and a detailed sidewalk, complete with mailbox, parking meter, flower pots and the iconic white streetlamp of the Modular collection. It’s the third Modular set to include a vehicle– this time a 1950’s-style convertible automobile recalling an homage to Elvis Presley’s pink Cadillacs. (One of the minifigures also features an Elvis-style of pompadour hairstyle.)

The Lego Detective Agency (set # 10246) comes complete with not just a Detective Agency but also an attached Barber Shop and Pool Hall. Like the others before it, this set has a lot of detail (both inside and out) and has several new features such as a hidden safe, pull flush-toilet, pool table and shop access via an open center “atrium”. Personally, we are disappointed Lego went with a theme like a detective agency when there are still so many other town “essentials” missing like a school, hospital, post office, police station and library. What do you think? It’s a great set but has Lego gotten a little too off track with this one? Let us know in the comments below.
It is no secret that other LEGO orientated fan websites comment on PC set in the similar fashion: as for the investment portfolio one has to take into account: a) its been on the market for such a looooooooong time.. b) RRP purchase price is quite low given the number of the bricks in the set.. c) it just “went off” (released) at the time when Town Hall retired and suddenly everybody realised the potential of modulars.. so sure.. buy it at all costs and hope that in 5-years future you would be still able to sell it at least at the purchase costs.. .. you cant be so naive as to think that this “piece of article” is some sensational investment tip, are you?? 😀
Space Port was released four years after Launch Command and is often seen as a continuation of that theme due to its similar logo and status as a Lego Town Subtheme. Space Port took the Launch Command concept and expanded upon it into new areas such as astronaut training and scientific experiments. The Space Port theme took a slightly less realistic approach to set design compared to Launch command, and some sets featured special Light & Sound bricks to enhance playability.
However, what I think would really be good is a hardware store. With all the dozens of tool accessories available it would be excellent. Racks of axes, mops, buckets, brooms, tool boxes, plungers, pitch forks, paint rollers, trolley jacks, wrenches and hammers.

It looks like an RV. This isn’t one of the blocky, square, thrown-together-in-eight-steps vehicles I remember from my childhood; this is a vehicle that you’d be excused for mistaking it as real at first glance. The lines are fluid and very RV-like, and the decals not only match the green and dark tan lines on the sides but look like they could very easily be the decals gracing a real-life RV. The hanging side mirrors are also a very clever touch. But, for all its realism, it hasn’t lost any playability. I would have loved this set as a kid. The side swings open and the top pops off for ease of play, the canoe fits securely on the top, and I absolutely love the design of the double bed in the “back”. The cab can easily be modded so that the driver is on the right side instead of the left, for our fellow LEGO fans across the pond. As you can see in the photo I’ve uploaded, all of the canoe paraphernalia (the oars and lifejackets) fit easily in the roof compartment. (My set came with three oars instead of the expected two, I suppose in case lost or broke one.) The canoe itself is also extremely well manufactured — a solid block of plastic, it’s shaped like a canoe and is very sturdy, not flimsy at all, and could easily fit three minifigs instead of just the included two. Speaking of minifigs, the included couple is cute, with very attractive “outdoorsy” outfits and dynamic facial expressions.
If you need a little break from science fiction-based Star Wars sets you can jump into an architectural project building the Taj Mahal. The $299 set gives you more bang for your buck than the Collector’s Millennium Falcon, boxing a total of 5,922 pieces (about 700 more than the Falcon). What also makes this set a bit more of a challenge for builders is that all the pieces are all generally the same color. This makes it especially difficult for those who like to dump all their Lego pieces into a pile rather than build bag-by-bag. Puzzle builders will attest to the difficulty of puzzles that don’t vary too much in color or patterns. The Lego model of the famous Taj Mahal palace in India was released in 2008.
