The Town Hall is a very sweet set. I really like the colors. I fully furnished and customized mine on the inside, so it is fun from that perspective too. If I remember correctly all of the parts are pretty standard. However if you consider parting it together it is probably better doing it earlier than later as more want to do the same.
For sale is a brand new unopened LEGO Imperial Flagship set. The set contains 1664 pieces. I am the original owner. Box is pristine collector condition. Thanks for looking and please click on “view …
Hm… that’s an interesting point. And very well could be. I do remember hearing that LEGO will rename the Disney Princess line to simply Disney. Looks like this is going to be a much bigger theme for LEGO, not just pink castles for girls. I expect more awesome sets on the level of the Disney Castle. But we will see… 🙂

Nothing gets us more excited then when LEGO announces a new Star Wars set. Okay, one thing does, and that’s a new movie announcement (which means more LEGO Sets!). With LEGO having built an Empire of collectible sets, it isn’t a wonder some of them are worth some serious cash.
For Sale: A Lego Star Wars escape from the space slug set, #6176782-1. This is a rare set that was exclusively available at the 2016 Star Wars Celebration. This is a miniature diorama of the famous as…
LEGO Europe site did it again! After LEGO revealed some of their upcoming retirements in their Europe website in October, they had announced even more retiring sets this week. This list is massive and it includes Star Wars Rogue One, Force… Continue Reading →
“Note that this chart and the lists below contain large Star Wars sets that may not have been officially designated as UCS sets — such as 10188 Death Star and 10236 Ewok Village — but rather than debate the semantics of the UCS moniker, we have opted to simply include all large, exclusive Star Wars sets from 2007 onwards.”

I’ve been going through dozens of collections posted online by LEGO Star Wars collectors, and these following sets represent in a general sense, what you can find out there and add to your own collection.
A few years ago Anne shared with us her tutorial on how to build a Lego table with a LACK table from IKEA (updated images coming soon!). Depending on pricing in your neighborhood, this project should cost less than $35. If you already have the table and plates, then it will be free.
Nothing in life is easy or free, as ive said before the days of buying literally any starwars LEGO set and making 300-400% ROI in one year are long gone. There is still money to be made but its a much more complicated game now, to think that LEGO would hand you a profitable investment on a silver platter by labeling everything with “retiring soon” so you can go out at the last minute buy a bunch and flip them for loads of quick profit is crazy.
@ Genadi, as a Lego fan my entire life and now an AFOL (adult fan of Lego) I personally ask that you don’t support organizations from foreign countries that sell cheaper replicas of Lego sets like the ones in your aliexpress link. Lego is suing these companies like Lepin, which in my opinion is a horrible unethical company, for IP infringement. Since Chinese laws are different Lego will have a hard and expensive legal battle ahead of them. Yes they are cheaper and similar, but they not Lego so the quality is not there and they are part of the reason for Lego’s higher price. Lego files many patents to protect itself and still you get organizations like these. Sorry to be a bummer on the good deal, but to me the big picture doesn’t justify the discount. Buy used Lego’s and recondition them. They will be like new. There are a few ways to do this on the Internet. Otherwise get them on clearance or at discount stores as noted. I hope this helps.
I don’t know how they could have made this kit any more unappealing. I feel like they reused molds from other micro kits and just tried to get a minecrafty color scheme – they completely phoned this in!
This LEGO set is the “cheaper” version of the UCS Imperial Shuttle (10212), a set with extreme attention to detail, but already discontinued and quite complicated to find (also a bit pricey starting at $760).
➡ LEGO TMNT SETS ON SALE: As far as I know the LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line is getting retired, so this is your last chance to get the sets. All three of these sets are large with lots of play-features and a great selection of minifigures. The LEGO TMNT Turtle Lair Invasion has a particularly good selection of parts. My youngest child recently became a Lego fanatic (as am I). She was already enthralled by the Harry Potter books and movies, so the discovery that two of her favorite things were now combined (and just before Christmas, too) gave birth to a new obsession. Unfortunately, Lego stopped making Harry Potter Lego sets last year.

Of the four current “UCS” sets, I prefer the Slave and the TIE. I think of the other two as “play sets” and they just don’t look as cool. Of course, the higher price points of Hoth and the DS might make them rarer and better investments. However, given this is the 3rd (?) large DS model, I’m wondering if it will be all that sought after in retirement. What do you guys think?
The Millennium Falcon set comes in at the top of our list simply because it’s freaking awesome.  It is among the two or three most recognizable images from the entire Star Wars franchise, so it easily checks the nostalgia box.  The set is huge at 1329 pieces and takes a few hours to complete.  Inside the box you get the awesome Falcon itself, complete with the iconic holochess board, cockpit, and even spring loaded blasters.  Additionally, you get a wealth of minifigurines including Han Solo, Chewbacca, Rey, Finn, and BB-8 (you get two more, but who cares about those guys?).  The minor complaint here is that this is The Force Awakens version, so you get old Han, rather than A New Hope Han.  That’s easy enough to ignore, however, with the all-around spectacular set included here.
All sets include listed lego pieces, characters, and instruction manuals. All sets have been gone through using the building manuals. All pieces are included to the best of our knowledge. Some sets ma…

That would be great, but I doubt LEGO would ever make it for the reasons you mentioned. Having said that, if a LEGO Ideas Hunger Games project would make it to 10,000, LEGO might consider a one-time set. 😉
My Uncle Pat, about 12 years my senior, gave me his original Lego set. (He regrets that now. Imagine what THAT would go for on eBay!) I think we only had a handful of colors, too, but those little plastic bricks provided hours of creative entertainment.

Make sure you are not missing out on sets that have already been made, as the first wave of Rogue One is going to retire with the end of 2017 – including my TIE Striker and Krennic’s shuttle, to be replaced by SOMETHING BIG and SOMETHING EVEN MUCH, MUCH BIGGER 🙂
Another theme that is retiring is LEGO Hero Factory, to give room for the return of LEGO BIONICLE next year. Most of the LEGO Hero Factory sets are already sold out, but there are a few left from the latest wave that you may want to consider. Even if you don’t want them for yourself, the mini heroes sell particularly well in the secondary market. You can find whatever is left at the Retiring Soon section of the Online LEGO Shop.
You can get all the pieces you need by just building up a Wanted List on BrickLink and seeing which shops have the best prices and quantity. You can also get the instruction booklets on BrickLink, or just get the PDF version online.
