“lego star wars death |wanted lego sets”

When you sell LEGO you basically have two options; you either do all the work yourself of taking pictures, advertising, packing, shipping, etc. or you have someone else do it for you. If you do it yourself you will maximize your profits, but it will also take up significant amount of your time. If you ask someone else to do it, they will have to do all the work of reselling themselves, so you can’t expect them to pay you top price.
LEGO Games – City Alarm. Game rules book (English, French, and Spanish). There is an animated “How to Play” game guide on the LEGO Games website, too. Mostly disassembled pieces. Some pieces, like the…
This month, after reviewing the entire 2016 models, we are adding three new LEGO® model releases to our recommendations to collectors. These would be as future potential investments. We have added these three new models to our future prospects Read more »
Michelle, not a silly question at all. LEGO automatically chooses your region based on your shipping address, and while it is possible to change your region just to see what is available in other regions, once you start shopping, the region will change back to your own.
My son really loves this set. He has built it, taken it apart and built it again multiple times. He and my 3 year old daughter have so much fun playing with the characters and the horses in and on the castle. Pricey but definitely worth it- I cannot begin to calculate the amount of hours this has kept *both* of my kids occupied. I also love that, when built, the structure is very sturdy and easy to move around. The kids regularly move it from the play table to the floor and back again without any pieces breaking, etc. which is so common with legos.
LEGO Elves is a line of LEGO that is intriguing with its fairies, dragons, goblins, and TV show, yet it is targeted at girls with a seemingly limited appeal. However, there have been sets that have been extremely good investments mixed with others that haven’t. Brook Johnson helps sort through the dust.
Oh, Bat Lords! That was an awesome theme! Love their helmets! I have a couple of them myself. BTW, eBay is a great place to pick up older sets for cheap! I have gotten some gorgeous sets from the Viking line (love those!) and also the Orient Expedition Dragon Fortress and two copies of the Scorpion Palace. 😀
As I mentioned earlier today, the LEGO Double VIP Points promotion is now going on at LEGO Stores and on [email protected]. I’ve been told by a pretty reliable source that a variety of direct-to-consumer LEGO sets are now retiring soon even though they’re not listed online. If you’ve been holding off on some of these sets, now would be a perfect time to jump on them since we exactly know when they will be going away. This is only a partial list as there could be more D2C sets that perhaps are listed as retiring soon as well.
Yeah, it is a good idea to keep a balance. Some sets/themes are worth letting go, other’s are worth to keep. I know many people who greatly regret selling their collection, others are afraid to sell them and are burried under boxes they never even opened. For me the judgement to sell anything (LEGO or otherwise) is that if I haven’t touched it/used it for 6 months, it is time to let it go and have someone else enjoy it. This also opens up space (and money) for new things in my life. So it’s a win-win. 😉
Then there are the seller fees on eBay . And the shipping costs – remember, Lego is bulky and could cost quite a bit to ship. And if you’re selling to a collector, they’ll expect it to arrive in good condition, so packing costs go up again.
Originally released in 2014, now retired. Includes 6 minifgs: Kanan Jarrus, HeraSyndulla, Zeb Orrelios, Stormtrooper, Ezra Bridger, C1-10P (Chopper) AND EXTRA Sabine. These are the ONLY sets to featur…
This Friends Lego set is Pre-Owned, so it does show some wear like scratches. Set is Incomplete great for someone who need parts to complete a set, or just need some random parts for a MOC. Overall th…
I’m a big lego fan and really like this castle. The only problem with it really is that the Gate section falls apart easily, which is a pain because it takes a long time to build. I added some solid bricks on the inside of the gate walls and that helped give it more stability. The kids in my 5 – 7 year old classroom loved it, as does my daughter.
I haven’t tried it myself yet, since my daughter is a little young for Legos, but I’ve heard great things about Pley. It’s a monthly Lego and Duplo rental service, kind of like Netflix for Legos. It could be a great way to try some of the cool sets before you spend lots of money on them, since we all know that just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it will hold your child’s interest. It could also cut down on clutter, since you get to use lots of sets without having to store the old ones.
To be honest, I don’t really pay attention to the “Retiring Soon” label. With the Chima example, LEGO LEGO Shop at Home hasn’t made be trust the tag. Sure, it could be a sign of retirement, but if LEGO Shop at Home goes around and changes it on us, it makes me think that it isn’t reliable.
The very reason people are scrambling to collect the sets after they have been retired is because they didn’t do so while they were in production, for any multitude of reasons. As an example, some of the Star Wars UCS sets — 10143 Death Star, for example — were discounted by LEGO for many months before they was discontinued. If the stock was really flying off the shelves, that wouldn’t have been the case.
Agitate in soapy water. Place the separated LEGO bricks in a container. Add lukewarm water and a little dish soap or other mild detergent. Agitate the bricks gently, stirring them around with your hand.
Thanks for these tips for buying LEGO sets. It’s good to know there are sites where I can go to compare prices. I would like my son to have his own LEGO collection, so I should do this to find the best price for a cool set for him to put together.
Minifigures – The little LEGO people are called “minifigures” or “minifigs” for short. Sort them out so they can be seen in your photographs. Also sort out minifigure accessories like hats, swords, tools, etc. If you have a large number of minifigures you might consider putting them in their own listing. Minifigures are popular items on eBay.
My 6YO loves Lego. We were buying small sets, but my husband found that he could buy a box of random parts on Ebay for much cheaper. He bought a set that had…I forget, but I think 1000 pieces, for $50 this fall. I’ll check with him, but I think it was that, or maybe 500 pieces. It seemed like a good deal. It’s very random, but my son loved it. That’s my only tip so far. I’ve looked on Craigslist, but with no luck. I’ve never seen them at thrift stores, but I’ll keep my eyes open for them. Thanks.
Hopefully this overview will get you organized enough to start on that dream LEGO set you never thought would be possible to get. It can be a long road to see the fruits of your work, but when all is done you have the added accomplishment of knowing how much work went into the project. To date I’ve assembled two LEGO Modular Buildings I missed out on when they were originally released, and I’m currently working on a third. I’ve also completed a handful of old LEGO Castle sets.

What sets are the pieces from? – If you know your pieces came from specific sets, mention this in the description. If you have any instruction booklets, these can be a clue as to where the parts came from.
