“mixels discontinued _lego pteranodon”

I bought this for my 11 year old grandson and he just loves it. It appears to be a challenge but not too hard and its large so it will take a bit of time to construct it. The characters are really cute. That ugly Jabba the Hut is a riot. I know its pricey but they do last forever. I think anyone who loves Star Wars will just love this addition. I heard that there is some controversy about the structure that this guy lives in but I didn’t see it for a moment. It just looks like a toy house that is typical of a Lego set. If you have the cash, buy it. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

You can also order individual bricks from Lego.com, but the wall in the store gets you a better price. Another option for bulk buying is to order on ebay or from sites like BrickLink. (I’ve not done the latter, so I can’t verify the success of that approach; please use caution in your purchases.)
We have strong reason to believe that LEGO 75060 Slave 1 UCS has a high risk of retiring soon! Get yours before it retires, since it is a Ultimate Collectors Series, this set will most certainly go up in value once it is retired! If you are buying new, you can still reflect on the weight- a little at least. LEGO is so marvelously cute that it’s kind of deceptive how expensive they are – especially if you are buying sets!  Pound for pound, magnetic toys like Magnatiles (many moms will say these are pricey) are usually cheaper than LEGO sets.  Boxes of just bricks are cheaper (by the pound) but only by a little.

Lego Creator 3 in 1 Maersk Triple E Retiring Soon Have you ever wondered how all the great stuff from around the world comes directly to your local shops and then to your homes? They even manage to maintain some minor level of screen accuracy (to reason of course). Many recall the scene from Star Wars (Ep. IV 1977) where Luke, Chewy and Han spring Leia from her prison cell aboard the Death Star then flee into the garbage chute, only to face the Dianoga and imminently collapsing walls of the compactor. You can recreate this scene exactly. And I recently discovered you can even throw the minifigures into the garbage chute and they will land in the garbage compactor. There is also a lever that then allows you to collapse the walls. There are even little bits of garbage and the dreaded Dianoga included.
I finally got a copy of this set so I can write an actual review. I find many reviews on Amazon are negative because of item availability and aftermarket pricing. So here is an actual review of the set, not the market. Please see the customer image gallery for my build uploads.
I wanted to build a big set, and display it at my house. So, off to google we go, and search Biggest Lego set EVER. Mmmhh… the Taj Majal it’s not what I have in mind for a Star Wars related set. Ok, let’s look at the second biggest one. A-HA! We have a winner!. At 5195 pieces, the Ultimate Collection Series Millennium Falcon is what I was looking for! Let’s buy that one…
However, what really bugs me are these sets. That is why it can be challenged as an educational toy because I’ve seen kids just build and not build some more. While I admire the themes and are just as wowed as you are when your child builds a complex set, I can’t help but think that we are not getting as much as we should be getting from LEGO.  I really wish it was more about the plain bricks. Did you happen to see Fat Brain Toys blog post showing nostalgic LEGO ads. I loved it!

“Holy Lego set, Batman!” as Robin would probably say following the purchase of this awe-inspiring Lego set. This Lego set is one of the best around, with an array of detailed pieces and intricate designs. Some of the pieces included in the set are Alfred the Butler, Batman (black suit), Bruce Wayne, Robin, Mr. Freeze (with complete weapon assembly), Mr. Freeze’s Henchman, The Penguin, Robin’s jet-ski, the Batblade ice sledge, and the Penguin’s submarine.
As much I’d like those three there are several other Direct To Consumer (D2C) sets that are higher on my list, therefore all three of them are a pass. If I was to chose one it would be 75059 – Sandcrawler.
Used AT-TE. Missing four pieces (Three on the turret, one maroon 1/2 flat piece within the walker). Comes with the speeder bike but not the minifigs. Sticker is a bit torn but is simply due to old age…
I think you would have to look at it in an entrepreneur/business man’s point of view to understand it. If people aren’t buying enough of the sets to keep a good profit after a few years, Lego might find that they would make more money using the same pieces if they were to discontinue the set and release a new one people would buy more of. If you already have an old set that is still on the market, there wouldn’t be much point in buying a second or third. (assuming its for personal use.)
Buildable LEGO® BrickHeadz construction character featuring Captain Phasma™ has authentic details from the blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, including iconic First Order Stormtrooper armor and helmet, buildable cape and a detachable blaster pistol.
I would love if LEGO would make that Minas Tirith into a set. It is beautiful, not too big, not too small – just right. I’m not sure how they will handle it though that the films are going to be over. It could be a very nice final set though for the theme.
While you’ll get the same kind of mixed bag at the online Goodwill Store, I think there is a greater chance that you’ll likely get more pieces and here’s the kicker if you are lucky – if you buy it from a location near you, you can just PICK IT UP and NOT PAY FOR SHIPPING those 15+ pounds of LEGO bricks (Sometimes shipping is $20-$30 UGH!)

  1. Also known as Dark Shark II or Black Skull, this Lego set is pretty detailed as the aftcastle can be accessed by opening its sidewalls as well as detaching a piece of the poop deck. You can also move the rudder by turning the steering wheel! One customer wrote, “…there is no set that can beat the Skull’s Eye Schooner.” This set is definitely in the running to be one of the best Lego sets because it has a plethora of cool features such as a compass next to the steering wheel and an odd postbox where you can find a glass and a gun.

Rather than rehash how awesome the model is. Let me give you a few ideas and notes from my TWO experiences building the Death Star. Yup, I built one that didn’t survive a home move – so, I’ve just rebuilt it.
Two last two sets retiring soon are the #10218 LEGO Creator Pet Shop and the #10234 LEGO Creator Sydney Opera House. The LEGO Creator Pet Shop has been the longest standing LEGO Modular Buildings, first released back in 2011. It is the only building in the series that has a split footprint, making it extremely versatile. Even if you already have one, I would recommend getting another, just in case you ever need it in your layout. Half of the building is a generic apartment, while the pet shop side can easily be converted into other stores to create more variety. And the LEGO Creator Sydney Opera House is a beautiful and accurate display piece. You can find both sets under the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
