“lego shop sydney review _lego sales and deals review”

I disappeared into the Harry Potter Lego Internet rabbit hole and here are a few of the places I’ve found to buy discontinued Harry Potter Lego sets, or even used Lego pieces — all without breaking the bank.
Just something that’s always made me wonder. The Technic figures from the Competition line and other Technic sets were very good figures IMO. They had great pose ability for the time and they acted as your pilots for you Technic vehicles. I know some later Technic sets could have been better with a Technic figure added. So why did Lego stop making them?
Mindstorms, a Lego line of robotic products, also uses a large number of Technic pieces, although it is sold as a separate line of products. The latest generation of the Mindstorms range, the Mindstorms EV3 range (released September 2013), as well as the Mindstorms NXT sets (released August 2006), are based on the studless construction method.
LEGO STAR WARS Millenium Falcon 7965 *Brand new sealed* This is an awesome set. Has been discontinued for a while so very hard to find these days. This is brand new un-opened MISB. Perfect for a gift for the star wars fan as it is still sealed and⁄or for the serious collector as the box is in excellent condition also. It was released available direct from Lego back 2011. This is a very cool classic set ~1250 pieces with 6 minifigures and super impressive large set when built. Lego descr
We’d be silly to actually recommend you run out and buy the Lego Architecture Taj Mahal set if you’re looking for something to in your spare time; the $3,300 asking price basically prices most out of the market entirely But if you have 3.5k to drop on a Lego kit, and you want to go all out, the Taj Mahal set is not just a limited-run series, it also features almost 6,000 pieces in the box. Sure, that isn’t a great price-to-piece ratio if you’re looking at products like the first two on our list, but the Lego Taj Mahal is one of the most magnificent sets we’ve ever laid eyes on. The set is huge, measuring at over 20 inches wide and 16 inches tall, and weighing fourteen pounds inside the box. Taj Mahal is the largest set ever designed and sold by Lego, and we think some Lego fans are willing to drop the $3,300 to get access to such a limited-run set. But for everyone else, you’re better off buying a cheaper, smaller set—especially since you could probably use $3,300 to plan an actual trip to the Taj Mahal in India.

My daughter is young, but already computer literate enough to search eBay for Harry Potter Lego Sets.  The prices for complete Harry Potter sets tends to be sky high (eBay prices are second only to the after-market prices on Amazon) — although you can find bargains if you pay attention. You might find a loose set (no box, most of the pieces) for 1/2 to 3/4 of the (after-market) price of the unopened box, but that’s still expensive (as they’re going for three times the retail price when in-stores) and slightly dodgy, as you don’t know for sure that all the pieces are there until you build the set.
This is a BRAND NEW, HARD TO FIND AND DISCONTINUED set of LEGO TECHNIC 8457 Power Puller from 2000. This set is still factory sealed, however the box is damaged and has a puncture/tear on the froint with some minor shelf wear, wrinkles and crease. 979 €?š€?špieces and 1 minifigure_?
Yeah, I feel you. I haven’t bought a single modular from LEGO directly. All of my modulars have been Craigslist finds too. The best price I’ve found so far was $110 for a NIB Pet Shop, so awesome find on that $80 deal! As for inside detail, the earlier ones definitely had simpler interiors. The Haunted House was my first set as an adult getting back into LEGO. When I got it, I felt it was definitely lacking on inside decor. As my LEGO collection has expanded, I’ve been able to fill it in with some neat stuff, but as a newbie it kinda sucked to have such a bare interior in such a rad set. This is probably why I prefer a decked out interior to a plain one.
Time will tell, but I’m particularly skeptical that we’ll see 10193 Medieval Market Village last through the end of 2012, as it’s already marked as “discontinued from the manufacturer” on Amazon. If Toys R Us — which recently sold out during their sale –doesn’t replenish it’s stock, that will be further indication that the end is near.

The Taj Mahal is the supreme ruler of the most iconic images of India. This magnificent building is ideal for a Lego replica because the four sides of the structure are perfectly identical, creating a mirrored image on each side. Here, the architectural elements of self-replicating geometry and symmetry come into play.
Gary (@istokg) you’re spot on about the gimmickry, but that’s part of the point with these sets. If you listen to designer Jamie Berard talking about the Modulars, it’s clear that one of the objectives is to employ novel building techniques and use pieces in unusual ways as much to teach AFOLs new ways of building as it is to “surprise and delight” us (as he himself says in one of his videos). It’s also a way of sneaking unusual colours back onto the palate in greater quantities – remember all that Sand Green in Green Grocer, Medium Blue in Market Street, and then there’s Sand Blue in Pet Shop. This is I believe very much a deliberate move to “delight” AFOLs. Finally, I would also challenge your assertion that they’re overpriced; in so much as ALL LEGO is expensive you’re correct, but compared with many other sets the parts to price ratio is a bit of a steal.

Well 10199 Toy Shoppe was also ‘sold out’ at the middle of last year and it came back before the beginning of the 2010 holiday shopping season.. my gut feeling is it is gone for good now, with the bakery hanging around for two years. This also brings into question Lego ‘official’ discontinued time line provided…
