“lego modular 2017 review _sell lego review”

Making the list as one of the 7 most expensive Lego sets, this stunning model of the Eiffel Town was released in 2007 and is built to 1:100 scale from the original blueprints. This set includes realistic and enchanting features and details such as a flag at the top of the elevators, four lifts toward the bottom of the tower that transport figurines from the base to the center section, and a small, brick-built French flag. It holds the record for the tallest Lego structure produced into a set and contains over three-thousand pieces!
Arkham Asylum is a fantastic set. Absolutely! I think almost any set that you want to include that “fits” modular building works. I don’t want to say it, but in some cases, even Olivia’s House might be ok.

My impression of the “discontinued” dates listed above is that they’re the projected times when the sets should be removed from the available inventory, assuming they haven’t already sold out. IE, if 10211 hasn’t already sold out before December 2013, that’s the date that they’ll remove it from the catalog regardless. And they’ll probably put it on sale X months before then to try and encourage it to sell out.
Build the bright and airy Modern Home, featuring a white, brown and pale-blue color scheme, large windows, solar skylight, upper-level bedroom and balcony with parasol, and a ground-level room with so…
Bane’s drill, though not really in character for him, is really, really cool. When you roll it, the drill part moves. The bat cycle included isn’t as nice as the one from the Funhouse set, but still good to have.
This was a terrific decision. Since then friends and family have seen the buckets of legos and have opted for the free play lego sets. It really is worth it. The sets are magnificent, but if your child is like mine and won’t dismantle a made lego set this is a great way to put the creative play back in the mix.
From my experience with LEGO, I don’t think they’d go so far as to make more copies of the set if it sells out within a “reasonable” amount of time from the discontinue date– they’d just say “sorry, sold out” and be done with it. If (say) 10211 sold out in July 2013, I expect they’d just end it there– they wouldn’t do another production run just so they had some available through the “discontinued date” of December 2013. But if they ran out in (say) February 2012, maybe they’d consider doing another production run, since it would be nearly 2 years away from the expected discontinuation.
Our mid-range kit, for those looking for some additional complexity over the Millennium Falcon while also enjoying a set from the original trilogy of films, Lego’s star Wars TIE Fighter set is a relatively-expensive kit, coming in at $199 for about 1,700. It’s not exactly a deal, but for those fans of the evil Empire, the TIE Fighter will bring back dozens of memories of watching Empire Strikes Back on lazy Sunday afternoons—and it’ll look great on your shelf, too. This is an incredibly detailed set, something we’ve come to love and appreciate about the time Lego puts into building their sets. And while it might not be 4,000 pieces like what you get with the Death Star set, 1,700 pieces is the perfect number to hold your attention for weeks at a time while not absorbing your entire life into one brick-themed nightmare. The TIE Fighter comes with an included stand, along with a beautiful card to go along with your display. It’s the perfect size for a project to build with your kid, so long as they remember that the Collector’s series of Lego sets, of which this falls into, aren’t typically meant to be played with—they’re just fragile.

Lego sets should be played with in combination with other sets.  The older ‘town’ sets embraced this much more than today with interconnecting baseplates and features that crossover.  I wanted to feature a ‘portaloo’ and used the one featured in 60073-1 Service truck to encourage set integration and play.  This Base plate / Connectivity is what people are enjoying about the CREATOR Modular Series.

Lego City is a theme under which Lego building sets are released. As the name suggests, Lego City sets are based on city life, with the models depicting city and emergency services (such as police and fire), airport, train, construction, and civilian services.

The F40 is more of a collectors set than an actual toy to play with, making it ideal for adults to destress and decompress with Lego sets after a difficult day at the office. Unlike the Capitol Building set, Ferrari’s F40 probably isn’t so much a learning experience to share with your children, though if you’re looking to teach your children about the history of non-American sports cars, it’s an excellent entry and might interest the racecar lover in your life. We really love the F40 set from Lego; it’s small, but complex enough to keep you busy for hours and hours. It doesn’t come at a cheap price, but if you can afford to drop a pretty penny on Lego sets, this is a fine one to add to your collection—or to gift to the gearhead in your life.

Anyone else noticed that 6212 – X-Wing (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=6212-1) has disappeared from S@H (UK)? This slipped under my radar and was pointed out to me by @Kempo81. This is a great set IMO, and the length of time on-sale (nearly 4 years) suggest it was a great seller.

So what do these box redesigns tell us about the modular buildings series? Well, the simplest conclusion to draw is that the Palace Cinema, Parisian Restaurant, and Detective’s Office are here to stay and the Pet Shop is likely retiring soon. After all, why would LEGO update the boxes of sets just to retire them immediately after? And similarly, why would the Pet Shop be the lone modular using an old box design?
You specifically excluded price to piece ratio from your assessment of them being overpriced, but to me, that’s far and away the most pertinent measure. Factors not intrinsic to the bricks, such as third party licensing and packaging (Architecture series) would constitute examples where sets become overpriced relative to sets without those features. Intrinsically, I could understand the argument that the increased specialization of parts translates to a higher overall price to piece ratio, as well. But I just don’t follow the logic that a change in scale which necessitates more parts is equivalent to overpricing.
So like mentioned above, if you want Lego to keep making sets then keep buying loads of them… But usually most runs go for about 2-3 years before being discontinued (unless it is specifically for a retail outlet (like the Helicopter and limo sets for walmart) then I am guessing it is as many as that store wants to buy and make and lego maybe matches that, who knows

Batman is given a wide range of vehicles, their appearances resembling their accepted forms. Several vehicles, including the “Batman Dragster”, “Batman’s Buggy”, and “Bat-Tank”, have also been introduced. The Batmobile appears similar to the way it does in the 1989 film, while the Batboat takes on a hovercraft-like form. All the set-boxes feature a comic strip by artist Greg Hyland at the back, featuring stylized versions of the set in action.
NOTE: This set is retired and is no longer sold by LEGO. That means you’ll only be able to find this set available via the secondary market with secondary sellers. To keep things in perspective, the original retail price for this set was $79.99.
