The battle is about to begin! The Dragon soldiers are on the march toward the King’s Castle, and only the White Knight can save the day. Who will win, the King’s soldiers or the Dragon soldiers? You decide with this awesome LEGO Castle set.
Our first entry from outside of the movies, Captain Rex’s AT-TE is a fantastic set pulled from the Star Wars Rebels animated television series.  Rex was introduced in The Clone Wars animated movie, but this set has an aging Rex from the Rebels animated series.  This set won’t appeal to everyone, as many might not follow the animated series, but for fans of the show, this AT-TE really hits the mark.  The sheer amount of cool stuff going on here should appease any Lego fan.  The spring-loaded shooters are always awesome, but this behemoth also packs on a couple of cranes, loading doors, and six moveable legs.  Moving this thing around is a lot of fun. minifigurines are Rex himself, of course, along with his partners Gregor and Wolffe and two Imperials two give chase; an Inquisitor Fifth Brother (with lightsaber) and Stormtrooper.  This set is a slam dunk for fans of Rebels, but is just plain fun for any Lego fan.
My friend Sharon is an expert at building and buying LEGO. She explained to me a couple great ways to save money on bricks. While a set is great, having a variety of pieces to build with on your own is even better.
Galaxy Squad, Alien Conquest and Ninjago are pretty common, so in used condition you might be able to get half of the original price. Right now Galaxy Squad is 50% off in most places, and those are brand new sets. Power Miners can get better money as it has some fans and it has been retired several years ago. Indiana Jones really depends on the set and the condition. Same with the MBA set. You can look at prices on eBay and BrickLink for comparable condition sets as yours and see how much they go for.
We are pleased to welcome you to our new permanent Bricktraders Shop for fans of LEGO® Bricks, LEGO® Sets and LEGO® minifigures. Its been a long time coming but we are now open at 57 Catherine Street, St Albans 5 days a week.
When you have more than 50 sets, storage is a huge issue. Don’t be tempted to cobble together a solution. Start with strong shelving and new boxes to save lots of time and keep your sets looking good. Brook Johnson will show you how he stores his sets, shows you part of his Lego library, and tells you what is “retiring soon.”
However, if you want just (1) set, this would be a nice one to get. Compared to the original Jabba’s palace, this set is much more sturdy. I would not let the kids play with the older one because it would probably not last long and fall apart. This set however survives a 3yr old very well.
Getting a child to look closely and really examine subtle differences?  I love that- he’s actually holding a little tiny robot claw for Brickbot in this photo.  Thank you Megan Rothrock- we love Brickbot!
First up is the “Retiring Soon” tag on the S@H website. I wouldn’t rely on this for finding out all the sets retiring, but I assume if a set does shows up there, it is at least official confirmation. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Retiring-Soon
I guess if I was a buyer I would focus and getting at least 1 of the bigger sets you want, regardless of the Price (although sites like Brickset help out TREMENDOUSLY in finding sales on sets at different places) and worry about the smaller ones later, that way if the smaller one sells out you have a good chance of picking one up for a decent price later (if if discontinued)
This set contains 996 pieces, spread between 10 numbered bags and one unnumbered bag of base plates. The instructions are printed on three booklets, bound to a sheet of cardboard. No paperweights required. Also included is a sheet of stickers with brick patterns, as well as a sheet of malleable plastic with three flags.

A look at the best-selling kits on BrickPicker shows trains, play houses, dinosaurs, Harry Potter sets, Back to the Future Deloreans and Pirate sets all featuring. This set comes with instructions for all three models. The pieces are bagged into several groups to make sorting easier. I find the models all to be great to play with, though I've left mine in the treehouse configuration. There are a nice variety of parts and building techniques to keep the builder interested throughout. We chose this for our 6 yr old daughter after being disappointed with the Lego Friends sets, which did not seem to involve as much building. This was a great set for her, and we love the 30 in 1 aspect. Now, we’re not advising you to cash in your ETFs and invest in 1,000-piece Millennium Falcon sets. But since we here at Wealthsimple are all about giving you all the information you need to make great investments (and also informing you about entertaining ways people try to make money), we sought the advice of Jeff Maciorowski, who runs the Lego-investing business Brick Picker. Here’s our novice’s guide for how to get in on the brick market, what to look for, and what the Holy Grail of all Lego sets is. OMFGWAT? US$ 6400 for that set on Amazon? What is it made of? Carbonite? Well… apparently I'm not the only one that came up with this idea of building one of the MOST AWESOMEST FREIGHT CARGO SHIPS EVER, that happens to be discontinued. But there's no way I'm going to pay that. So many features for this Lego Technic Unimog Trial Truck, an excellent climber with a lot of power as well. 1. You’re not going to believe us when we tell you, but Legos, the children’s toys responsible for countless childhood memories and foot injuries, have garnered a larger return on investment than gold in the last 15 years. Yes, Legos. Those little Danish plastic bricks, when purchased wisely, can make you lots of money. Why? How? Because Legos have been beloved for years, and now that the adults who grew up on them have more disposable income to invest, a secondary market has emerged, with pristine sets increasing 12% each year since 2000. It’s the nostalgia economy.
Holding the record for the biggest LEGO Star Wars model ever made at 5,195 pieces, this space-style Lego set has earned its place in the hearts of all Star Wars and Lego fans around the world. Also included with this set are 5 iconic Star Wars Lego figurines: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
