This will be one of my favorites. I was unable to get this item from LEGO directly and I was very disappointed. I was looking for something else on Amazon and decided to look for the Mobile Crane on a whim. There it was and the price was not much above the original LEGO price <$20.00. Perfect. I has great engineering - the gear work is a marvel. I also enjoy the second item - the Reach Stacker - a lot of fun to build. Mostly because of demand for parts I am sure, they cannot thin out their lines to keep 1000 more sets in production, plus sets get old, they do.. most people buy one and they want to see the next one out.. therefore if they were to make more of them then no one would buy.. and no, only selling 3 sets to people over 1 year is not their idea of good sales.... Then they would need to list a lot of their warehouse for 50% off.. again not something they want to do.... I mean look at the steamrollers and pig farms, which would not die... I think the biggest reason is to keep the lines fresh.. not to mention sets can come back at times (see the Metroliner, Main street, Black Falcons Fortress and Guarded Inn and recently the Maersk Container ship). Thanks to its 3,104 pieces, most of which are the exact same shade of grey, the Ultimate Collector's Series version of the Imperial Star Destroyer is pure evil as a piece of design. The Emperor would be proud. It comes with a 16+ age tag, and isn't for the feint of heart. And since it's been discontinued for quite a while, it's also impossibly expensive. This is one for the only the most die hard Star Wars fans. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Hd8AAOSwQJhUc18k/s-l200.jpg?rqid=p2.8d1cc86c487b66a5de57&rqt=SRS&a=1&c=1&dealId=WUx7vOSfFHqaa_uuZZ4t0g%3D%3D&l=3033102&linkin_id=3033102&r=24&pr=24&dipr=1&pid=146948738&pdid=WUx7vOSfFHqaa_uuZZ4t0g%3D%3D When the button is pressed the Batman logo is projected onto any surface while the other side is used for normal writing and drawing; a nice, ballpoint black ink pen. It may not be the best idea (or distraction) when it comes to school supplies, but it’s a great idea to encourage creativity and pretend play at home. Pegs - Pegs are small cylindrical pieces that latch into holes in beams. The two most common types of pegs are called connector pegs, which join two beams together. Black or blue connector pegs hold the two beams together stiffly, while grey or tan connector pegs form loose hinges. Pegs have also been seen in System sets. I'm not sure if what sold out of set #10199 was the end of the 2010 season stock or the rest of the sets. Perhaps the Winter Bakery's seasonal stock isn't selling as fast since they were discounted by the Lego brand stores, though they seem to be gone from the NoVa stores. I probably saw the same Toy Shops that Yellowcastle found at the Potomac Mills, VA Lego store this last week. The LEGO Modular Buildings series continues with this spectacularly detailed 3-story department store, designed in a realistic scale with lots of special building techniques and rare pieces. On the street outside, citizens carry shopping bags, send letters at the mailbox, admire the window mannequins, then cool off at the ice cream stand while a busy window washer works above. Enter through the revolving doors to discover a ground-floor clothing department, complete with a cash register, fitting room, hats, jewelry, perfume, and even a selection of spare trousers. A brick-built escalator carries customers to the second floor housewares department with glassware and golden plates for special occasions, and then it’s up to the top floor for the toy department (complete with toy house and push-scooter) with an impressive chandelier above the open atrium. Up on the roof are a billboard and skylight. FOR SALE IS ONE  2016  LEGO   ~   THE BATMAN MOVIE **  MARCH HARRIET # 17 LOOSE ( WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU WILL GET  )  ** # 71017  , SEE PICTURE  . Lego 60052 CITY Cargo Train   This 2014 City Lego Train set is brand new and the package is factory sealed. This awesome set features an 8 channel remote control that can be used to power the train through 7 speeds! Also includes a working cargo crane, a cattle car and an awesome locomotive. The LEGO City Cargo Train is perfect for Lego enthusiasts. This set features a cargo station with a real working crane to load the Octan gas onto the cargo car, an open animal car, a car for carrying the included gigantic spools, a forklift, a cargo truck and much more! Includes 4 Minifigures. Control the train with the battery operated Power Functions remote control! Includes 30 sections of track!   Requires 9 AAA batteries (not included). 888 pcs. This item ships Worldwide! Thanks for looking!... Less The set does have a lot of play value, again making it better suited for kids than adult Lego fans. The submersible robot and helicopter are both sturdy builds and fit well on the boat (which transports them). The lighthouse is grossly, hilariously out of scale, but I won't complain about a blue plate getting tossed into this set. The minifigs are pretty standard, though I like the radio headset the one Coast Guard minifig wears. My boys have spent hours playing with this set in the bath! They have loads of fun and use lots of imagination. They did break it into a few pieces after having it in the tub a few times, but that is to be expected. We just fix it real quick and it is ready to go in the tub for some more fun. You get so much with this set. There is a large Coast Guard boat, a helicopter, a patrol boat, a submarine, a lighthouse, 6 minifigs, a dog, a crab, and 3 sharks (awesome fun in the tub). If you are considering this set, just buy it! I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this amazing Coast Guard set. YES!!! they are amazing to build, the detail is great, and the ones that are out now are pretty cool. I have the cinema, pet shop, and emporium, but I would say the pet shop was the most fun. I am planning on getting the restaurant and the detective agency next spring, but I also know a couple shops that sell old sets, so if they are not outrageous, I will pick up the town hall and fire brigade (really bummed that I missed out on this one. 2 weeks after I bought the 3 I have, they retired it). The Taj Mahal is the supreme ruler of the most iconic images of India. This magnificent building is ideal for a Lego replica because the four sides of the structure are perfectly identical, creating a mirrored image on each side. Here, the architectural elements of self-replicating geometry and symmetry come into play. The Lego Detective Agency (set # 10246) comes complete with not just a Detective Agency but also an attached Barber Shop and Pool Hall. Like the others before it, this set has a lot of detail (both inside and out) and has several new features such as a hidden safe, pull flush-toilet, pool table and shop access via an open center "atrium". Personally, we are disappointed Lego went with a theme like a detective agency when there are still so many other town "essentials" missing like a school, hospital, post office, police station and library. What do you think? It's a great set but has Lego gotten a little too off track with this one? Let us know in the comments below. There would have to be a real price premium in the market to justify adding Technic figs. But if you look at them on Bricklink, it's just not there. Compare that to some of the rare train pieces, or 8880 and powerpuller wheels. So the accountants are looking at that and going "hard set to design, not widely popular, no price premiums.... not worth it". The United States Capitol Building is a great choice for anyone with an interest in American politics or history. The set includes a collectible booklet that will tell you all about the impressive architecture of the original building. [redirect url='http://Discontinued-Items.com/bump' sec='7']

  1. I’ve been building technics since I was 10 years old, and this is the first time I spent over $100 on a set. The sheer size and the engineering behind this set made me feel like 10 again. Actually 10 year old me wouldn’t be able to assemble this set. It took me, a 30 year old male good 12 hours to entirely assemble the set. But I was humming and whistling in childish joy for the first 9 hours. Then a fatigue settled in, but I’m not the type of person to leave things unfinished because I would be assembling this set in my dreams. I misplaced couple of pieces and had a major set back about twice. But at last, the beast was complete. It really is a beautiful set and worth every penny. If you are technics fan, don’t even think about it. Just buy it.
In 2006, a poll was taken, aimed at the AFOL community. Adult fans were asked to share their ideas and opinions of what concept they would like to see for a future model from The LEGO Group. Some of the ideas submitted were: more town and everyday buildings, structures with more architectural detail, realistic buildings, minifigure scale buildings, solid and enclosed buildings, and more. These ideas were taken into consideration and a year later the first set in the Modular Buildings series, Café Corner, was released. A LEGO fan was invited to provide feedback and suggestions during the design of that set.[2]
TECHNIC Figures are figures that appeared in TECHNIC sets, especially from the CyberSlam/Competition line. They were first introduced in 1986 in the Arctic Action line, and were produced until 2001. They are much larger and have several more joints than the standard minifigure, including bendable elbow and knee-joints. Each figure comes already assembled and is not meant to come apart, but parts can be popped off by pulling too hard. They can connect to both standard LEGO System bricks and on TECHNIC parts, and TECHNIC pegs can fit in their hands. 27 different kinds of Technic figures were created,[6] some sets included the same figures but with different accessories and stickers.
I had hesitated about buying legos from amazon after ordering a couple sets a few years ago and having them arrive with the boxes bashed and loose legos released from their individual bags sliding around inside the actual Danish lego box. But when I saw the Lego Town Hall on sale for $180, I couldn’t resist, as it was #1 on my son’s Christmas list. I was relieved when it arrived completely intact. Perhaps complaints about the need for better packaging to protect the precious legos was taken into account after customers complained, as I ordered several lego items from amazon this Christmas season and they all arrived undamaged. Hopefully, the Jeff Bezos customer service pledge was applied and from now on legos will be shipped with sufficient padding to protect them! My son spent most of Christmas day putting it together! It’s a FANTASTIC set.
