“10211 grand emporium cheap |lego grand emporium walmart review”

In 2006, a poll was taken, aimed at the AFOL community. Adult fans were asked to share their ideas and opinions of what concept they would like to see for a future model from The LEGO Group. Some of the ideas submitted were: more town and everyday buildings, structures with more architectural detail, realistic buildings, minifigure scale buildings, solid and enclosed buildings, and more. These ideas were taken into consideration and a year later the first set in the Modular Buildings series, Café Corner, was released. A LEGO fan was invited to provide feedback and suggestions during the design of that set.[2]
My son wanted this set basically for the Chase McCain mini figure (considering the cost of this set, versus Chase McCain alone, this set was a better option), but the set as a whole is great. It was fun to put together and holds up really well. The cop car is great with the trunk that opens to store the cops “tools”. Also the tire-stoppers are fun too.
IMO… the entire line is overpriced… and not because of the price-to-parts ratio… but because when TLG switched to the minifig scale back in the late 1970s, they didn’t have this type of set in mind. I grew up with the Town Plan scale (1 door = 3 bricks tall), and the minifig scale (1 door= 5 or 6 bricks tall) caused a fourfold price increase in LEGO sets with 4 walls.
There is a town house with the Pet Shop. If by “town house” you meant a stand-alone residential building, that wouldn’t fit with the street as you will rarely see such structures in a city, as opposed to suburban or rural, street.
So this was my first real “big boy” LEGO set. I plunked down $200 on LEGO. I didn’t even tell my wife how much this thing cost because I knew she’d look at me like I was crazy (but also love the set once built). I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

The first dedicated Technic motor was a 4.5 volt rounded brick (p/n 6216m) released in 1977 as part of the Expert Builder Power Pack (960-1) and Supplementary Set (870-1), this output via a small protruding axle that would rotate when the motor was powered. The motor was not geared, resulting in high-RPM, low-torque output. Gearboxes and a square casing were available. A 12 volt motor of the same physical dimensions as the 4.5 volt motor was also available in set 880-1. The 12 volt version is visually distinguishable by being black, rather than grey.

But there’s much more than just Star Wars selling. A look at the best-selling kits on BrickPicker shows trains, play houses, dinosaurs, Harry Potter sets, Back to the Future Deloreans and Pirate sets all featuring.

My biggest regret like most people here is not buying more than one of these sets. If you bought the Cafe Corner, you would know that LEGO literally encourages you to buy 2,3 or 6 of them, to build yourself a skyscraper…. Don’t believe me, check out the instructions for the set. Had you been insane enough to do that, you would now be considered one smart LEGO collector. I recommended to so many of my LEGO friends to buy these sets, but many of them thought they to be too expensive. I wished I had listened to myself and bought more of them.
Space (City) is the third attempt at depicting contemporary efforts in space. The theme was preceded by Shuttle Adventure, which was released in 2010 under the Lego Exclusives line to coincide with the retirement of the Space Shuttle. The set proved to be extremely popular among children and was re-released in 2011 as Shuttle Expedition with several re-designs to improve playability.
Well 10199 Toy Shoppe was also ‘sold out’ at the middle of last year and it came back before the beginning of the 2010 holiday shopping season.. my gut feeling is it is gone for good now, with the bakery hanging around for two years. This also brings into question Lego ‘official’ discontinued time line provided…

We bought these for the little boy my daughter babysits, for a 5th birthday gift. He LOVES it! His mom reports that he put it together by himself just following the directions, and loves playing with it.
I agree, the date for Fire Brigade just doesn’t seem right. If it were following the trend of the previous sets in this theme it would discontinue around December this year. I would also think the Grand Emporium would discontinue in December 2012 instead of 2013 while the date for the Pet Shop seems correct.
This is a new sealed lego set Fire Brigade. This set is discontinued and rare. This set is sealed with factory stickers still intact. All parts inside come as new. The box is large, and is in good sha…
A set is made for about 2 years, then that stops, then it all depends on how quickly the existing stocks sell out.. usually it is 3 years total from ‘release’ to ‘cannot find them from Lego’. There ARE exceptions of course, such as sets made for specific stores, such as the Limo and City townhouse. At least in the States the Limo with chopper was out for an astounding handful of months even though Europe had them for about 6 months before, and then it was only Lego and Walmart selling them..
My boys have spent hours playing with this set in the bath! They have loads of fun and use lots of imagination. They did break it into a few pieces after having it in the tub a few times, but that is to be expected. We just fix it real quick and it is ready to go in the tub for some more fun. You get so much with this set. There is a large Coast Guard boat, a helicopter, a patrol boat, a submarine, a lighthouse, 6 minifigs, a dog, a crab, and 3 sharks (awesome fun in the tub). If you are considering this set, just buy it! I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed in this amazing Coast Guard set.
Just a reminder! LEGO had labeled four sets with “LAST CHANCE!” in their catalog. This may be really your last chance to get those sets. If you received LEGO catalog back in September, you may notice that the 10248 Ferrari… Continue Reading →
So I skipped the sets for Christmas and bought him two large sets of just legos. He opened them and shrugged. We moved them into a large flat rectangular rubbermaid tote and his eyes gleamed. He went onto the sun porch on the wood floor, and went to building. He built cars, rockets, planes, houses and forts for four hours. Add a few minifigures to his lego bucket and I have one contented kid.
Only down side is that the motor is kind of weak. Particularly the ankering function only half way operate via motor. Im pretty sure I assembled everything correctly and give the pieces adequate spaces to make it operate smoothly. There’s just too many gears to turn for a small motor. Also it would be a huge blow to my 31 year old self esteem if I couldn’t even assemble a Lego that’s meant for low teens. But seriously, this set was very time consuming to make.
You also get the Coast Guard cutter, which is really well designed- the roof flips up to access the bridge, with control stations fore and aft. There are buoys/fenders on each side of the ship, a rotating (manually) radar antenna (the bar type usually seen on ships), a working hoist aft, and a helo pad on the forecastle (that’s the raised deck on the front of the ship). There’s a minisub/ROV with twin props, which clips onto the hoist. There’s a helo with a winch and anchor and floats instead of skids, which sits on the helo pad. There’s a speedboat with a nicely rendered outboard motor and it’s own radar (the round kind on small boats). And there’s a lighthouse with a bunch of jagged rocks. It was a fun kit to build and there’s a lot of potential for creating adventures. To top it all off, the cutter and speedboat float because- why not? Yeah, Lego just figured the boats should float. Awesome.
